Main Street Sidewalk Extension
- East Troy

A new pedestrian connection between the Overlook Ridge development and East Troy's Historic Village Square.

Location: East Troy, WI  ·  Client: Village of East Troy  ·  Services: Design · Permitting · Construction Management

Roughly 800 feet of new concrete sidewalk along Main Street now links the Overlook Ridge development by Sawall Development to the Historic Village Square. Lynch provided design, permitting, and construction management, with daily field observation from removals through hydroseeded restoration.

Connecting a New Neighborhood to Downtown East Troy

East Troy's newest neighborhood, Overlook Ridge by Sawall Development, is located directly east on Main Street from the Historic Village Square - close enough to walk, once there was a walk to use. The Village of East Troy retained Lynch & Associates to close that gap with roughly 800 feet of new concrete sidewalk, ADA curb ramps with detectable warning fields, reconstructed driveway crossings, and asphalt patching to tie the new walk cleanly into the street. The improvements were funded through the Village's Tax Incremental District (TID) program.

The corridor called for practical problem solving along the way: modular block retaining walls where grades ran tight against adjacent lots, casting adjustments to match new elevations, and erosion control carried through final restoration. Our construction management team was on site daily - documenting quantities, coordinating the contractor's work, and keeping driveways open for neighbors. By late June the corridor was hydroseeded and complete, and residents and visitors can now walk from Overlook Ridge into everything downtown East Troy has to offer.
