Borg Road Bridge
Replacement

Construction inspection leadership for a Swan Creek crossing - with sidewalk and bike accommodations built in.

Location: Walworth County, WI  ·  Client: Town of Delavan (with WisDOT)  ·  Services: Construction Inspection · Coordination

Lynch served as Co-Project Leader for construction inspection on the replacement of the Borg Road bridge over Swan Creek for the Town of Delavan and WisDOT. The new single-span crossing added sidewalk and bicycle accommodations while inspection kept three agencies, including the Delavan Lake Sanitary District, working from one set of field facts.

A Local Bridge With Regional Coordination

As Co-Project Leader for construction inspection, Lynch supported the removal and replacement of the Borg Road bridge over Swan Creek in Walworth County. The single-span replacement improved long-term structural reliability while adding sidewalk and bicycle accommodations to the crossing.

The coordination list ran deeper than most local bridges: WisDOT and the Town of Delavan on the delivery side, and the Delavan Lake Sanitary District - which regulates Swan Creek flows from the Delavan Lake outfall - on the water side. Lynch kept all three aligned through construction.

The new crossing serves Town of Delavan residents with a stronger structure and safer walking and biking connections over Swan Creek. For Lynch's construction management practice, it is a familiar formula: local bridge, multiple agencies, and an inspector on site who keeps every party working from the same set of facts.
