Oak Leaf Trail Bridge
- Root River Crossing

Extending Milwaukee County's signature trail across the Root River with a safe, durable prefabricated crossing.

Closing a Gap in the Oak Leaf Trail

Lynch served as engineer of record for this Oak Leaf Trail extension, designing the abutments for a prefabricated bridge structure carrying the trail across the Root River. The extension links Old Loomis Road at 76th Street through the Rock complex to the Root River Parkway - closing a gap in one of Milwaukee County's most-used recreational corridors.

The scope combined structural abutment design with a hydrology study of the Root River crossing and path design for the trail itself, with MSA Professional Services providing QA/QC review of structural elements. The completed crossing gives cyclists and pedestrians a safe, durable connection through the Root River corridor.
