Marquette Avenue
Reconstruction

A new connector road giving Franklin families and school buses a better way to Pleasant View Elementary.

A Safer Route to School

Pleasant View Elementary had long been served by an arterial that posed real traffic and pedestrian safety concerns. When the City of Franklin found the opportunity to partner with two development teams on a better connection, Lynch delivered it - the Marquette Avenue connector, a new and improved access route linking S. 51st Street directly to the school.

Lynch completed both the road and utility designs, then served as construction project manager - mentoring the City's on-site staff inspectors through delivery. The corridor was built as a full urban section: new asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, and storm drainage. A safer, more walkable route to school, and a stronger inspection bench for the City when it was done.
